Despite having a young all star cast (Jim Carey, Damon Wayans, Geena Davis, Jeff Goldblum) before any of these people were stars this movie is a total flop. The acting is quirky, campy, and at sometimes comical but a serious lack of directing from Julien Temple and an absolutely terrible script kept these future stars from making anything worth while. The plot is about as 80s as it gets, three fuzzy aliens crash land in the pool of a beauty parlor employee, after her and her friends shave off all the neon hair and somehow completely reconstruct their facial features the three aliens are in fact three handsome earthling studs. the rest of the movie is a rom-com complete with scenes of goofy antics of aliens in a deranged disco world that eventually find love in the bimbos that help teach them how to be stupid 20 something Americans. If you're really looking for a bad 80s movie with some attractive actors and trashy jokes (which let's face it, sometimes that is exactly what we are looking for) then this flick is for you, but I can't honestly recommend watching it to anyone that isn't in a crazed disco depraved movie mood.
